About

Under construction….

When Ama moved South Florida to attend college, she got hooked on house music at local clubs in South Beach and downtown Miami. She spent the next few years getting deeper into the scene and discovering new artists and DJs. In the summer of 2006, she took a trip to Ibiza, where she was inspired to take the plunge into learning to mix. After a few months of researching the skills of being a DJ and asking a lot of questions to local DJs, she bought her first decks and started mixing. With the help of online tutorials, she was able to start with a great base of technical skills.

Remarkably, Ama earned 8th place in a competition for DJ Magazine, called the DJ Mag MicroMix, after only six months of practice. Currently, she has over 7 million video views on youtube.com.

Ama’s seamless mixing focuses on thoughtful and creative songs selections. She stays creative by using all the tools available in the booth. Ama specializes in both electro, progressive, and funky house music. With her electro sets, she will never let you down with chunky baselines and hard electro growls that are sure to make your ears vibrate. On the funky side, she is sure to provide subtle vocals over instrumental breaks, filled with saxophones, horns, and drums.

Outside of the music scene, Ama attended college and earned her degree on an athletic scholarship playing golf. She is currently working on creating new podcasts, mixes, producing original songs, completing her Masters in Writing degree.
